Firefighters battle brush fire in Serra Mesa

SAN DIEGO — Firefighters are working to put out a brush fire near homes in the Serra Mesa neighborhood Thursday evening.

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received a call around 7 p.m. about the fire in the 2500 block of Mobley Street, according to first responders.


127-unit affordable housing complex coming to San Diego

Multiple units have responded to the fire that is at 3/4ths of an acre, officials say. Crews were having trouble accessing the terrain due to the steep hills.

No evacuations have been issued at the moment, SDFD said.
